CityLight Cross Style Institute  is designed to facilitate the reproduction of the Cross Style message around the world. Using the materials of Dr. Stephen Manley, the institute trains Prayer Group Leaders to develop a consuming focus and response to the indwelling Person of Jesus Christ.  This focus producesa New Testament life of being sourced by Jesus. CityLight Cross Style helps each Prayer Group Leader to live the exposition of the Word as a lifestyle and basis for all ministry.

 

The cross was more than an event one day in the life of Jesus; it was and is His continual style.

 

 

This style was manifested in His constant response to the will and moving of the indwelling presence of the Father.  Jesus did not operate on His own or out of His own resource, but lived in the continual flow of what the Father would do through Him. 

 

It is still His style, the "cross style," which He now desires to reproduce as He comes to indwell us through His Spirit. As Jesus lived in this world, so we live in constant response to His will and moving in us, not operating out of our own resources, but in the constant flow of what He would do through us for a time such as this.

 

The purpose of these CityLight Prayer Groups is to allow Jesus to be the light to all of the world by shining through each member. Every CityLight Prayer Group member has one goal; to start, organize, disciple and lead 12 new converts to Jesus Christ in a new Prayer Group.

Prayer group members are from many different cultures, races, communities, societies and denominations, speaking many different languages but we are united as one body in Christ. From the seed of faith planted 2000 years ago by the Apostle St. Thomas, it is our prayer and desire that the gospel reach all of India in our lifetime.

CityLight members are committed to living the Two Great Commandments and carrying out The Great Commission. We are not separate from but active members in our local Christian Church. Where there is no organized church, we are the church.

CityLight members are individuals, churches, ministries and businesses who have come together in prayer asking God to guide us as we respond to the physical and spiritual needs of our country.

 

 

 

A consuming focus on and response to the indwelling Person of Jesus producing:

• The proclamation of the message to as many people as possible

 

• The facilitation and training of others in the message
