Dear Prayer Warriors:  Thank you for supporting and praying for the Greater Columbia Call to Prayer!   Following is the notice that was sent out.  Please pray for a mighty move of God’s hand during the prayer time on Saturday June 7th.

Please join us in  “Seeking the Lord while He may be found; calling on Him while He is near” at the Greater Columbia Call to Prayer Gathering on the second Saturday,  from 9:30-11:30 AM, at the Alumni Building, on the Columbia International University (CIU) campus.  CIU is located at 7435 Monticello Road, Columbia, SC  29230.

PLEASE BRING YOUR BIBLE.  This month the first half of our prayer time will be personalization of scripture in prayer followed by a time of prayer for our churches, pastors, nation, the elections, and for a mighty move of God in prayer throughout our homes, churches, communities, state and nation.  Come and experience a deep time of prayer as God speaks, Christ intercedes, and the Holy Spirit guides.

Daniel Henderson, President of Strategic Renewal International and a keynote speaker for Empowered 2008, often states that we need to depend on both individual and corporate prayer in our walk with the Lord.  Just like we must depend on both our right leg and our left leg to walk around we need both individual and corporate to walk upright with our Lord.  The problem is that many churches and individuals today have amputated their corporate prayer leg and are limping around on individual prayer legs that are week from lack of use.  This is not a healthy situation for the body of Christ.  If we don’t take action to correct our prayer problems we are in for a nasty fall.

One of the goals of Greater Columbia Call to Prayer is to strengthen our individual and corporate prayer legs.  Our desire is for the body of Christ to unite across ethnic, racial, and denominational lines to seek God’s face and ask Him to send transformation, revival, and spiritual awakening to the Greater Columbia area.

In Christ,

Jim and Susan Hogan
